Camp North π¬π±
Camp North tells the story of our fly fishing adventure in Greenland last summer. We flew in to Sisimiut and then embarked onto a boat and travelled to the remote “Camp North” which is a remarkable camp located right on the river bank close to the fjord. The location of the camp in majestic countryside and mouthwatering pools provided us a real taste of the Greenland wilderness.
We arrived at the beginning of the season on opening week just in time for the incredible run of sea run artic Char which were running the rivers every day. This remote untouched area had some of the most insane fishing we have ever experienced, sight fishing and using surface lures these fish are aggressive and powerful and provide an unforgettable fly fishing experience.
Summer in Greenland provides 24 hour daylight, nature thrives at this time of year in the north and we were able to fish many hours during the trip enjoying this incredible destination. The wild camping, hiking and fishing made it an adventure that we will not forget.
